When we launched this Editor’s Blog, I imagined it would be a place for commentary from around the world of science, not just from me. Today, we begin posting pieces from outstanding researchers on very important points in the world of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
One guest blog is from Jeffrey Zacks and Steven Franconeri. Jeff is a colleague of mine at Washington University, who is an expert on the cognitive aspects of data visualization.
The other guest blog is from Cato Laurencin and Aneesah McClinton. Cato wrote a great editorial for Science about the need for greater racial equity in medicine. He poses an interesting question about social behavior in the current and post–COVID-19 era—what will happen to our manners of greeting?
Thanks to these folks for their thought-provoking insights. More to come.
